On the 13th of December, LIFE students presented our third annual Christmas program since the school began. This year we took our program to the “Residencia San Camilo,” where we were able to share our Christmas cheer with the residents there.
Our students performed an ample repertoire of songs under the direction of Mrs. Afanasenko, Ms. Voyles, Ms. Day and Sra. Jiménez, delighting all those who were present. We invite you to see the video.
The preschool children charmed us with “The Nutcracker March,” to the rhythm of ball drums, while using fantastic choreography. The next song was based on a passage from the Bible, James 1:17a. “Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning”. Then they sang “Hush! There is a Baby!”. Finally, along with the first and second grade classes, “Ring, Ring, Ring the Bells”, which they performed to the rhythm of jingle bells.
The students in elementary school presented a story called “Presents,” based on Luke 2:10; then they sang the song “God loves me,” based on John 3:16.
The program ended with all the students in primary and elementary singing two songs: “Joy to the World,” accompanied with hand chimes, and “Super Duper Christmas”.
The parents of our students also deserve special recognition for their work in organizing and preparing a special celebration with an exceptional merienda for all who were present.
On behalf of LIFE, we thank all who helped make this Christmas program 2019 a memorable event! We thank the teachers who prepared the program and practiced with the children as much as was necessary for them to learn these beautiful songs. We appreciate the hard work of the students who learned this impressive repertoire of songs! And we thank the parents who made a great effort to attend, and for their punctuality that allowed the program to start on time! To all, we appreciate the effort and care that made this event exceptional. Many thanks! Enjoy your vacation. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
