During their study on matter and its properties, the third and fourth graders learned to measure matter in different ways and practiced measuring the volume and mass of liquids.
Try it at home!
Have your child measure the volume or mass of foods or liquids you have in the kitchen. Dry garbanzos or lentils work great! This could be a way to include them in meal preparation while helping them see the practical side of what they are learning at school.
