Our Story

A Dream That Continues to Grow

LIFE International School was born from a shared vision held by its founding members, a group of educators and professionals who believed it was possible to create a different kind of Christian school in Tres Cantos.

From the very beginning, they wanted to build a close-knit, Christ-centered community committed to educating the whole student — academically, personally, and spiritually — helping each one discover their gifts and learn to live with purpose.

Much has changed since those early years, but that vision remains at the heart of LIFE today.

Where the Vision Began (2014)

In the spring of 2014, the idea that would eventually become LIFE began to take shape: to create an international Christian school in Tres Cantos with a holistic vision of education, where faith, learning, character, and personal growth would go hand in hand.

From that idea, the nonprofit organization Christian Schools in Spain (CSS) was born, providing the framework to develop the project and begin building what would later become LIFE International School.

In September 2017, that idea became a reality. LIFE opened its doors in Tres Cantos with a team of five people and just nine students. The photo captures that very first day of school: a small beginning, but one filled with excitement, faith, and a desire to build something that could grow and serve many families.

Growing Together

From those first nine students and a small team, LIFE has grown step by step, carefully developing each new stage while holding on to the close-knit spirit that has always defined us.

Over the years, we gradually expanded our educational program until, in September 2025, we completed the full journey from Early Childhood through Grade 12. Today, we serve students from ages 3 to 18 across Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School, and High School.

That growth is also reflected in our team, which has grown alongside the school to meet the needs of an ever-growing community.

A New Chapter for LIFE

In September 2026, LIFE began a very special new chapter with our move to Ronda de Poniente, 3, in Tres Cantos.

Our new building gives us more space, more light, and many more possibilities to keep growing together. We now have a new Technology Lab, new Science Lab facilities, and purpose-built learning spaces designed to better support our students’ learning. But above all, we have more room to continue growing as a community.

Being part of the SID Madrid campus also connects us with an environment full of companies and projects related to innovation, science, and technology. We are especially excited about the possibilities this can open up for our students: collaborations, visits, experiences beyond the classroom, and new ways to connect what they learn at school with the world around them.

We feel that this new space reflects very well the season LIFE is in right now: we are growing, but we want to do so while holding on to what has always been essential to us — a close-knit community where every student is known, supported, and encouraged to develop their gifts.

We are very grateful for this new chapter and excited to discover all that lies ahead.

The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) represents more than 24,000 schools worldwide and over 5 million students.

LIFE is also accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA), accrediting each educational stage as it is implemented.

In addition, LIFE is officially recognized by the Government of Spain as a Foreign School and authorized by the Community of Madrid (No. 28078353).
